The size of the monitor makes no difference. It is the screen settings. But 
in any event, in Internet Explorer there is a small icon in the lower right 
corner that says "+  100% ".  If you click on the small arrow immediately to 
the right of that, you can adjust the zoom level to 75 percent, which 
usually eliminates the need for sideways scrolling. Or you can increase the 
zoom, which is easier for me on pages that have much of the screen taken up 
with side bars; that way I don't need to reach for my glasses to read the 
significant parts.
