Re: Loropetalum 'Purple Pixie'
AFTER PLANTING THE LORAPETUALUM, STRETCH 20 POUND TEST FISHING LINE
AROUND THE ENTIRE BED AT A HEIGHT OF ABOUT 3 1/2 FEETIN HEIGHT AND 3
FEET OUT FROM THE SHRUBS. WE USE REBAR AS STAKES. THEY TEND TO BLEND
IN NICELY. THE DEER CAN'T SEE THE FISHING LINE AND IT SPOOKS THE
WHEN THEY HIT IT. WE HAVE USED IT WITH GREAT SUCCESS. ALSO PLANT
SKYYD - SPRAYED ON THE SHRUBS WILL PROTECT THEM OVER THE WINTER. IT
LASTS FOR SIX MONTHS IF THERE IS NO NEW GROWTH.
