Re: Rose Recomendation

I'll second and third all the recommendations for HCG.  They have  great 
newsletters and great plant materials.  They've been a particular  boon for me as 
I've found their high desert plant materials very adaptable to  the sandy 
soils and dry summers that many of my coastal Long Island readers  have.  These 
people are innovative, progressive and green in every  sense.

Hi. I  was online looking this morning for seeds of both Rosa damascena and
Rosa  gallica var. officinalis. Needless to say I did not find a seed source
but  did come across the High Country Gardens website offering these roses.
Does  anyone know anything about them or have a source for these  roses,
preferably a seed source so I can have several. It is important that  the
botanical names are correct as I will be using the hips and distilling  the
fragrance.
