Re: Marriott @ Raleigh


So far as I know (haven't gotten that credit card statement yet) my bill is OK, but while I was there I was annoyed about the charge miscommunication thing, and the response I got from the desk clerk. I'm a Marriott's rewards member, so I went on their rewards customer service website and sent a message. Although they didn't take the charges away, they did give me lots of rewards points as an apology for the rudeness of the desk clerk. Whether you're a rewards member (and BTW, I'd recommend anyone doing even one trip a year sign up for the various rewards programs that hotel/motel chains offer -you get better responses that way) or not, start calling the manager at the hotel AND sending emails to customer service departments, not to mention googling the contact info for Mr. Marriott (yes, there is one.) and write him too.  Snow them with what needs to happen.
