Interesting that there is report of longer vase life. We started
selling flowers as well as veg at our local food coop a couple of
years back and we could sell ten times as many if we had them, mostly
because, according to our customers, they have a much longer vase
life. To be honest we hadn't put much credence in this - we reckoned
it was probably more because there is less handling between us and the
customer's vase. But maybe I'll do a bit of experimenting - there is a
conventional grower up the road who grows many of the same things we
do so I can use fresh cut from both of us - though not til next spring
because although we manage to have something to cut all winter, he
doesn't
