[GWL]: OG - a new title for organic gardening

I have just received the Sept/Oct issue of Organic Gardening, but they 
no longer call it by that name. Like Kentucky Fried Chicken which is 
marketed as Kentucky FC, Organic Gardening is now being marketed as "OG" 
with a subtitle "Trusted advice for organic gardeners".

It is a much slimmer publication with 48 pages, excluding the 4 cover 
pages. My impression is that of a slick version of "Mother Earth News" 
as I read the article on raising backyard chickens.

In my opinion, the art director ran amuck when creating the new logo and 
name. The result is cluttered and fails to clearly communicate the focus 
of the publication - growing things without pesticides.

It will be interesting to see if this approach works. According to Ruth 
Stout, "The new look will include a new department "Organic Gardening," 
which in each issue will feature a classic piece of organic-gardening 
wisdom from our archives."

I wonder if the authors of the reprinted articles will receive extra 
compensation?
