We're o.k. here in San Francisco, if anyone could be considered o.k. after such a horrific tragedy. Many parts of the Bay Area are on high alert, especially landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge. Since one of the high-jacked planes was originally scheduled for San Francisco, our news is full of the poignant stories about those final cell phone calls to family, saying goodbye. My heart is sick for the victims and their families, and the courageous and untiring rescue workers who have so many more miles to go.
