Good points, Lon. It's hard to think about anything else at times like this,
but you're right: Navel-gazing is not this list's raison d'etre.
I've been hanging on the fringes here for a couple of months now, reading a
lot, writing little more than an occasional quip or query. I'm in marketing
with Yoder Brothers, Inc., specifically the Green Leaf Perennials brand
(formerly Green Leaf Enterprises.) I write ads, press releases, a trade
publication column, our catalog, etc. Extracullicular writing includes local
news for Lancaster (PA) Newspapers and an entertainment monthly (restaurant
reviews, the regional music scene, etc.)
I joined GWAA just last year, and have enjoyed what little contact I've had
with the membership. Had a lot of fun in Philadelphia, but it looks like I
won't be going to Orlando. Nice meeting y'all.
