Re: [GWL]: Reason for quiet list
News reports indicate major cancellations of coventions and hotel
reservations in Orlando. Is the GWAA meeting in November one of the 13
conventions that have been canceled in Orlando?
Our local paper reports 10% of normal hotel reservations after the
stranded passengers were able to final arrange flights and depart from
San Diego.
I drove to Los Angeles to fill in for a friend who was scheduled to
attend a function on Monday. Rather than fly out of LAX Monday
afternoon, she decided to drive to another city and had to leave on
Sunday to make a scheduled Tuesday meeting.
My wife didn't like to fly before this and it will be sometime before
she will step foot in a plane. We will drive or not participate in
activities in which we would have flown prior to the WTC disaster.
