Title: Birch question
Was someone asking about alternatives to paper birch? I asked someone who always has answers to these kinds of questions (what tree to sub for what tree—he’s a nursery stock broker) and he said...

You have 2 choices. Betula japonica ‘Whitespire’ Or Schezchuanica. Not quite as white. Somewhat borer and leafminer resistant. Not a bad plant. Also Betula jacquemonte –Himalayan birch. Real white at an early age but is a pest ‘Magnet’.
