Re: silence & strange sweet potatoes & seed suppliers

Good morning -

Why the silence? I don't know. For me, September is almost as busy as
Spring - lots of cuttings to do, revamping/cutting back the garden,
harvesting, making jelly, drying tomatoes. I'm just too busy, I guess.

Plus, speaking as a Canadian, I am disturbed by the 'political situation'
at the moment. Hard to be light and breezy when there is so much heavy-duty
and scary stuff going on in the world.

Re: sweet potato? I imagine there are probably many, many types of 'sweet
potatoes' or yams that we have never seen or tasted. Perhaps Arzeena Hamir
might know, as she's lived in Southeast Asia....Perhaps try emailing Tokita
Seeds in Japan, or "Known You" in Taiwan - and ask them.

Re: major seed suppliers - I am writing an article on seed producers. If
anyone has anything of interest in that regard to share with me, I would
appreciate you contacting me off-list.
