Propagation Book

The title, Creative Propagation, is published by Timber Press
and was written by Peter Thompson (no relation) formerly of the Royal Botanic Gardens , Kew. It is certainly a valuable resource,  but another worthy title is Propagation Handbook  by Geoff Bryant published by Stackpole Books in 1995. Easy to use charts on the best propagation technique for various genera makes it the first book I consult, after Dirr's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants: always my first choice. Propagation is the natural progression for any gardener interested in more than the arrangement of plants in the landscape. Sharing propagation successes with fellow gardeners is the ultimate gardening experience, surpassed only by teaching others how to do it!
