books
"Uncle"about the garden books, already.
Okay, I admit, I do use books. I thought about it more and realized that
the reason I don't buy books or have many at home is that where I work (a
perennial nursery), the owner has lots and lots of books! We have
everything! So, I just read them there. But I still am not a big fan of
most gardening books unless they can give me a lot of information. I've
been working in nurseries (in the business) for about twenty years, so, I
dunno. Call me jaded. I do enjoy design books by Piet Oudolf. I love some
of Graham Rice's books, too, because of the quality of the writing, and the
wit.
And yes, whoever said that about Google is absolutely right on. I don't
ever believe everything I read. Especially being a writer and all.....I
tend to trust sites for Extension Depts., etc. But not always. I still
double-check with someone like Arzeena Hamir, who is a qualified
professional, and my pal.
