If you upgrade to Mac OS10.2, you can use Safari, the Mac's web browser. It
loads pages almost twice as fast as Internet Explorer and does not allow
pop-ups. OS10.2 with Safari also has a built in firewall, Google already on
the toolbar, and many other state of the art features. I have used Macs for
6 years with no virus problems in that time. My eMac with OS10.2 has not
crashed in the year I've had it. The Mac advantage: no crashes, no viruses
(so far) and no pop-ups. There are Mac viruses out there, but I don't
download files from strangers, and I use Norton Virus Scan on all incoming
files. It works for me.
