Re: academic search engines: Charlemagne

Good morning,

I very much doubt that there is one academic research engine to be used.

However, for this specific question, I reached some information. A Google

search on (Charlemagne +"required plants") led to a link that no longer

works. The summary for that link  mentions Capitulare de villis so I

replaced required plants with the document name and that leads to addresses

about that combination. I did not pursue the search any further but the

researcher certainly can. One source said that capitulare means little laws.

Charlemagne is supposed to have given the same or similar list to the St.

Gall monastery. And then there are books.
