Doug,
with all due respect, the idea of "hydroponic ground" seems more than a tad oxymoronic. Hydroponics are, by definition, groundless. No wonder your committee has run aground.
When you do find some common ground, lay some weed barrier over it or it'll be prairie by tomorrow, eh?

Oxymoronic? Hey John, we may be a little slow but we're all still breathin'. You can't be oxymoronic until you stop taking in oxygen and get a little stupid as a result. I can't speak for the committee chairman though, he might have stopped breathing, haven't heard from the guy since yesterday (that's the opposite of tomorrow for those of you following this conversation).

And have you ever thought about running "aground" Where else would you run? In the air? Then you'd have the problem of running anair - after all, you couldn't run a-air. Doesn't scan very well does it? Having said that, my sailboat and I ran aground once after the water got a little too shallow to runawater. Neither of us enjoyed the experience and I've never run since. Don't even like jogging or walking too fast either. Mostly I saunter. (always liked that word "saunter" - makes you think of lazy, summer afternoons with dust in the sun's path and a favourite dog at your side)

Have to say I tried one of those weed barrier products once - a manufacturer sent it along for trial. The little flamethrowers on the corners of the fence looked pretty neat and they could fry a floating dandelion seed at about ten feet away. We had to put it away though, the mailman wore a flower in his pocket one day and when he got out of the hospital burn unit, he was really nice about asking us to take down the sentry system. Seemed like a shame to go back to the hoes but he did look kinda pititful without those bushy eyebrows and I couldn't say no to him.

Must get back to unpacking. This moving homes is a vastly overrated activity.
