If you Google "botanical spellchecker," you'll find several you can buy 
ranging from about $40 to roughly $120.

Or, you can go to the web site for the Australian and New Zealand Society of 
Indexers and get a spellchecker free.  I index primarily gardening books and 
have been using this particular spellchecker for years. I've been very happy 
with it and it's saved me an unbelievable amount of time on each book that I 
index.  It consists totally of botanical names, no technical terms. 

If you don't need the technical terms, you might give this one a whirl and 
see if it meets your needs.  After all, free is good!

Go to www.aussi.org.  On the left, click on Resources.  Scroll to the bottom 
of the resource list to Botanical Names.  And you're there!
