Re: List still active?
Re the discussion board Amy started, Sandie wrote: "Is anyone else confused, or is it just me?"
Sandie,
I initially felt that perhaps this new board was redundant, but an off-list conversation with another member of this list helped me to see the value in it. In a discussion board you can keep many threads alive for a long time - you can dip into them anytime and see the entire thread, and add if you wish. Some people who get a huge amount of emails also prefer not to have more - they prefer to go to a discussion board and pick what they want to read when they have time.
Nevertheless, I plan to use this list as my primary discussion platform with other garden communicators... I like the people in this group and find it helpful that the threads come to one of my email addresses that I check daily. I don't have time to check a number of discussion boards and blogs every week, let alone every day. I don't always open the emails in this list-serv if the subject lines aren't of interest, for that matter. So I'm hoping that the people who have used and enjoyed this list will stay active here.
all the best,
C.L.
