Re: gardenwriters Digest, Vol 80, Issue 4

Here on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago, I don't expect frost for at
least 6 weeks. Moreover, except for those of us who want to grow tomatoes
and eggplants, we are still in the midst of the most glorious summer on the
planet--70 and 80 degrees for weeks on end with plenty of rain. Actually, my
tomatoes have finally started ripening and I may actually end up feeling I
had a crop, but I fear the eggplants are goners. Poblano and jalapeno
peppers have been ripening though.
