Press Release.
Pride of Place Plants Inc., is
proud and pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Rights, to the
Clematis cultivar 'Hanadayori'. This cultivar was selected as
the International Distribution Plant of The Japan
Clematis Association. After careful consideration by
the member Breeders and Board of Directors of The Japan
Clematis Association this cultivar was chosen,for
the attributes of the free-flowering characterics,the size and shape of the
flowers,the texture and appearance of the foliage ,and the color of the Tepals
and Anthers.This cultivar is from the Breeding work of Masako
Takeuchi. The parent cross, Mrs. N. Thompson x Barbara Jackman has produced this
cultivar with light pink margins and a deep red middle bar on each Tepal. The
anthers are yellow and the flowers are 15cm. in diameter.
The cultivar will be propagated in the United
States and will be released to the Home Gardener in the Spring of 2004.
