H. Green Eyes appears to be a very early emerger, too. Don't know what others are experiencing with this cultivar but it was the first one to emerge in the greenhouse following its winter nap.

Actually, m.a. was not the first, only one of the first. Stiletto was first, followed by Gala, Potomac Pride and Crested Surf. The deal with m. a., at least in my garden is that once it emerges, it just explodes - shoots up and unfurls almost overnight. The first little green nubs I saw were in mid-Feb, and that was Aphrodite. After sticking her nose out in the cold, though, she sat and didn't emerge much further til last week.
