Hi, Bill, Charles, et al:
 
I sort of remember you (Bill) did a similar experiment with a much  larger 
population with 'Francis Williams' seeds. Your results did not find  any 
streaked progeny.
 
So, the potential results from crossing hosta is the luck of the draw in  
getting streaked progeny from non streaked parents.
