I think everyone with a slug problem should use that product. I use it in
grosses.
I don't think it is harmful to pets or chillen, or birds, do you?
Here is another technique I use. I spray Sevin dust at the base of the plant
and up the petioles.This does kill the slugs but rathar kills the sowbugs and
cutworms and deters the slugs from marching up the stalks.
I tried the vinegar treatment and nearly killed four hostas.
