lack of slug damage

I noticed today at work when I was dividing Hostas that there was a remarkable
lack of slug damage on 'Francee'. Has anyone else noticed this before?  It
does not seem to be a Hosta with an unusual amount of substance - I wonder why
the slugs don't like it?
