So sorry, but the answer is yes. This is the typical symptom to
Sclorotium rolfsii, the fungus that causes "southern blight". I have
also had a "rash" of it this year due to extreme amounts of rain fall,
almost continuous. I have been very successful dousing the plants a
couple of times (2 weeks apart) with 50% bleach. Good luck John Lanier,
