I guess you can start with me, since I am a self-proclaimed expert on many
things. But the debate is not about mono or multi culture in general, it is
about hostas. I know what it does to the soil to plant and harvest cotton on
the same field every year, what I don't understand is how a garden of hostas
suffers from a lack of companion plants.
