I am bent out of shape over the phrase Preferred Grower. The rules set
by the AHS has nothing to do with being a grower, only a seller, Oh what
a door that has opened for every mass marketer of hosta.
Yes for the very low price of membership in the AHS they will get.
1 The abillty to use a distinctive logo by the AHS.
2They will be listed annually in the Hosta Journal.
3 Yes, they will even be included on the Hosta Growers list sent to new
members.
4 A spot on the AHS web site.
5 They will be allowed to advertise in the AHS Journal, Cant wait to see
the first full page color ad by K-Mart.
6 They will also be allowed to set up camp at the National Convention.
What a commercial event that will be.
I only wonder what they will do in return for the AHS.
