I mix my own potting "soil". I have a bag of Promix that I bought at a
GARAGE SALE, but I usually use 4 parts sphagnum peat to 1 part perlite
and 1 part vermiculite. If I'm using it as a soil amendment or to grow
already rooted plants, I add commercial manure and greensand. You could
easily adjust the proportions for what you need. I've rooted bat face
salvia and cigar plant in it this fall. Maybe this helps a bit. It's a
lot cheaper to mix your own.
