he, all,
while driving thru beautiful deep creek, mayland, i saw a hillside covered,
absolutely covered, in lancifolia.
the terrain there is quite rocky, with scree and boulders everywhere.
there must be thousands of lancifloias there.
we see them while driving from pittsburgh to western panhandle of west va
every summer.
they are in the deep shade of the native hemlocks.
a powerful sight.
