Once in a while you can find
a quiet spot in the garden
on a warm summers day
with all of God's creatures
getting on with there day,
and you just marvel
at the wonder of it all.
You can hear the birds,
high in there nests,
tending to their young ones.
You can sit for hours,
watching butterflies and bees.
hopping from bloom to bloom.
You can feel a gentle breeze
flow softly across your face,
and bringing with it,
the smell of fragrant hostas you planted,
for just moments like this.
You sit and look across
the haven you've created
and feel the tranquility
and joy it emits.
.
While listening to the music
that Mother Nature provides,
you begin to notice the diversity
in each one of your precious treasures.
It's moments like this
when you close your eyes.
and capture the moment,
to bring back to mind,
when the garden's gone bare.
Soon my friends, soon,
the garden will flourish,
and we'll be back on our knees,
looking for signs
of our returning treasures.
Soon my friends, Soon.
