OH for heaven's sake: let's get with it; and get away from, beating around
the bush; talking in riddles; and say it, the way it actually is with
hostas, for example:

THERE IS NO SUCH THING, as truly Tetraploid hostas! Perhaps and maybe one
or two tho'? By my opinion, this one plant may be very close to being a
true-Tetra i.e. 'Rupifraga Tetra' which came out of Germany; and this, by
it's sterility factor with all other hostas?

Nurseries, can advertise that "This/that or another hosta is a Tet!" all
they want and feel like? (it helps their sales, I guess, because people
think they are getting something extra as a bonus.) but until such time, as
the actual documentation from a reputatable & credited-laboratory is
provided with the purchased POLYPLOID plant; and proving, beyond a shadow
of a doubt in black & white (on paper?) that the plant has
doubled-chromosome-counts --- then it is all bull-shit! --- wouldn't
everyone think? ;))

As for determining polyploid status via some kind of "Flowing Cemetery"
well -- "humor and having fun?" -- is what life's all about! -- isn't
it? LOL!

Anyone interested in the *Hosta Polyploid SCAM* can read the whole story,
when the book is published? LOL!

respectfully submitted and remaining
