Your pictures on file where?  If they are on your computer you can still get at them with a number of programs such as paint shop pro, 
also just checked the Olympus site the software you need is there under software down loads
 
You must have misunderstood or been lead astray

I was gifted with an Olympus D-320L about 2 1/2 years ago.I had it upgraded 6
months later. It is the digital that I have used to send pix on the internet.
All of a sudden I could not upload or download pix I had taken. I phoned
Olympus and they told me that THEY had removed my ability to use it. It is no
longer produced.
It is now worthless, plus I cannot retreive 100's of pix on file.

Don't  buy  a digital unless it is something you can live with and afford for
only 3 years.
