Title: RE: Agar to Soil
John,
Sounds easy. Do you use any special potting mix? Would a good seed starting soilless mixture of peat moss and vermiculite and perlite work?
Thanks!

Hi Norman, don't mean to but into another conversation, just eager to
share information. You simply wash, under running water, all agar off
the roots (ALL, within reason), and dibble out somewhat of a hole in a
liner cell and stuff the plant/roots into the hole and cover them with
soil. Soak the liner, cover it with a plastic cover and then put it
under 24 hour lights. I have successfully transferred many plants this
way that didn't have even the first sign of a root, but takes loonger to
get estaablished. I assum the "big" labs by pass the "rooting in agar"
step altogether as a cost saving step. JML
