June is one of the top ten hostas of all time, IMHO. Don't get just one, get
several!
At the AHS convention in Peoria 6/98 I bought H. 'Paradise Joyce' at the Towers
Perennial booth for $50.
Both 'June' and 'Paradise Joyce'(Francen?) are sports of Halcyon. 'Paradise
Joyce' starts spring with a light blue center and dark blue edge and then
changes to a white center in enough sun.
"Kathryn Lewis" is a hosta from England and now available in the states for $35.
'Kathryn Lewis' is said to be just like 'Paradise Joyce' and also was for sale
in Peoria. My friend Russ Parsons bought one and we are going to compare and
share divisions when possible. Russ may have bought the same hosta for $15 less
than what I paid. It pays to know a little about look alike hostas!
June is probably a better looking hosta than either of the above. But we will
just have to wait and see, won't we.

June is one of those Hostas that draw a lot of interest when I bring them to
the farmers markets, even those people that do not like Hosta ask about this
one when they see it.
The person that was looking to find out if this was a nice Hosta also I
believe said they had already gotten "CHANTILLY LACE ." Both these Hosta
should make a nice combination in the garden.
I wonder if any one has a nice sized 'ARISTOCRAT' and would like to make some
statements about how much they like it of if they do not?
I think all three of the above would make an interesting planting in the same
bed.
