Questions for THJ:
1. Why do some great big potted hosta, when I plant them in the ground, gradually die out.
2. How and when is the best time to divide - does the cultivar make a difference?
3. Why is it only ventricosa comes true from seed?
4. Why are the biggest hosta the slowest to grow, followed by the mini's at their finicky growth rate?
