Hi All, For any similar or duplicate name the Registrar and the nomenclature
committee of the AHS make a careful search as to which name was published
first. That is why it is important to either register a name or publish it
in a catalog. Electronic publishing is not recognized per the Cultivated
Code. They are trying to change that now but it will be a while. As long as
there is another name with "Delight" you can have any delights you wish ;-).
Obviously, the Registrar cannot consider names that have not been submitted
to registration but it would be helpful to have a database of all names out
there - registered or not. At least it would be a guide as to which names
are taken, or similar, or almost like it, whatever. You still need to go
through the process for the name to be recognized as a name legitimate per
the Code. That's just the way it is. George, CN&C AHS
