Just today I took a picture of hosta for sale at the Green Point Market in
Cape Town, South Africa. (Picture available if anyone wants it.) The
seller wasn't pleased to learn about a dormancy requirement.

I have customers in the Florida panhandle that say they have success with
certain hostas. I've even gotten requests from Africa for hostas. I just try
to explain to people that they need a dormancy period.
