A searchable archive certainly makes sense. I'm sure that there are others
like me who may just skim a message when it's posted, but a
month, or several months, later the information becomes relevant to you and
you'd love to reread it in more depth. There are places that
will do the archiving for a list but of course they are then available to
the public.
