Sea Prize Seedlings

This is my first year growing seedlings from a self-polinated "Sea Prize".
I am experiencing a high percentage (30%) of seedlings with red petioles.
Is this normal for "Sea Prize" seedlings? Anyone who has any experience
with this plant, I would appreciate their input. Does an early indication
of petiole coloring remain with the plant during its developement?
Especially interesting will be Ran's input since the plant came from him.
