RE: Southern Blight Control

Hello Joe,

This fungicide does has a long residual. It is also toxic to fish and very
phytotoxic to Apple trees when sprayed on the foliage. I grow under
crabapples so this concerned me. I completely sprayed the foliage of two of
my 2" diameter crabapples as a test to see if my crabapples would have any
damage. They are fine two weeks later. McIntosh apples in particular are
susceptible and even trace amounts in a sprayer will do damage.

I bet an over the counter label will be out soon but this is just a guess.

If it is "very non-toxic", then why is it a restricted use pesticide?
Does it have a long half-life?
