Hosta Leaves instead of Lettuce

Hi
Has anyone ever used hosta leaves as a garnish instead of lettuce leaves?
I have to prepare a couple of party platters tomorrow , thought of using
daylilies and pansies to spruce things up, then thought that hosta leaves
would be nice instead of a bed of lettuce for the cheeses and veggies...can
I do this?  Have not used any chemicals this year.
