Hi Charles
Thick leaves can be an indication but not more than that for higher
ploidy. It is a pity people continue to guess about ploidy in Hosta,
both in the journal and on Email. Just send me one and I will tell
you for sure. Blue Mouse Ear is not tetraploid but a simple diploid .
