Six new Hostas went in for registration yesterday.'North Point' Blue and
deep green combo on ruffled , spade shaped leaves, that point straight
up, and have very heavy substance. 'Golden Eagle' Large yellow , that
forms a low mound. Heavy substance, white flowers, and very bright
color ! 'Pied Piper' Smaller Hosta (under 24") a low plant, with
avacado/green leaves, and wide cream edges. 'Gray Fox' a Large upright
plant, that that "weep" forming an unusual plant. It starts the season
with a gray overtone, and becomes more gray/green. heavy substance, and
blooms just above the foliage. 'Saybrook Surprise' a sport of a Perrys
True Blue seedling. This plant has rounded leaves, with blue/green
edge, and a bright yellow center. Very slug resistant, and here, very
sun tolerant. It reminds one of Borwick Beauty, but is very low, and
only about 30 " across. White blooms just above the foliage, it looks
good here untill November! 'Lunar Night' An all green sport of Lunar
Magic. Heavy substance, The plant is dark green somewhat puckered, and
approx 36 " across. Near white blooms are just aboe the foliage.
