Many people think they eat only offal and rotted material, but, alas, no--they eat greenery and will take down an emerging hosta in record time!
Sevin--spread it around base of the hosta plantation.If you go out at night with a flashlight , you can see them--like an army of mini-tanks with the millipedes close behind like some prehistoric invasion.
