Seedling

I have a seedling that has two divisions, this years crop planted in
January. I keep tugging at it to see if it is maybe a second seed that
germinated after I transplanted the first time but is for sure one and the
same seedling. I'm at work (seedlings at home), but this is a Breeders
CHoice or Wm. Lachman by Kikutti Prunoise <(sp?) so a nice seedling with
white back. Is it unusual for a seedling to make divisions before
flowering?
