Hosta friends,

I am signing off from hosta -open on Monday, May 7, 2001 because we are
traveling to the mountains of Maryland for the summer.

It has been an enjoyable spring online with friends . Now it's time to
get into the hosta garden and to take my new Border Collie pup, Lily,
up north to begin her new career in deer control. She can hardly wait. I
shall return to hosta-open and Florida in early fall..............See
you then, I hope..

Jim Hawes
