On the now defunct hosta robin I use to extoll the virtues of my "ducks" as
a method of slug control. Last winter the local foxes wiped out my duck
population - they got hungry.
Anyway, as my hosta are just sticking their little heads out I am finding a
lot of slug damage that I have not had in prior years.
Guess is time to asquire some more mallards.
