Preen Questions

Hi Everyone,

I just spread Preen for the first time around all of my hostas.  Now I didn't
measure it out I just put it in a hand spreader and spread it all around.  Is that
okay to do?   I would also like to know if I can spread Preen over an area that
I just planted Oriental Lilies which have not come up yet?  I can't find anything
in the directions about lily bulbs.
