Paul,
You (Meum 71) inquired if vegetative buds are found on hosta flower
scapes.
I have seen a lot of hosta in my day (Meum 78 years old), but I have
seen nary a bud on flower scapes as in day lilies...that's not saying
that they may not be found someday.
