A 12 Gauge shotgun usually works well.. I just finished planting a June
hosta and this darn squirrel kept digging and digging at it ... I whistled a
couple BB's over his durn carcass before I shot too low and killed him ...
Then I felt bad for him and decided not to do that again... Course there are
dozens of squirrels in my back yard of oak trees.
